Malaysia’s ATMs to be equipped with Dye Bombs

Malaysia’s Bank Negara is planning to equip all ATMs in the country with Dye Bombs that will stain cash notes in the ATM once it detects that there is a break-in attempt.  The notes once stained, are supposed to be easily identifiable and thus prevent the perpetrators from using them.  Do you think this is a good way to prevent ATM thefts?
